Workshop: CEDAW’s Application in Latin America and the Caribbean
Experts at this workshop will come together to analyse the implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) at the national and regional level in the Latin America and Caribbean region in the last 30 years. The meeting aims to increase agreement among experts on women’s human rights on the challenges of implementing CEDAW in the region. The outcome will include a set of recommendations on future action needed to strengthen CEDAW's implementation in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The workshop is sponsored by UNIFEM, Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights/Panama Office.
